CELEBRATE DÍA DE MUERTOS

Date: Saturday, November 1 from 11:00am – 3:00pm

Get in the Halloween spirit this month as well as including the actual dead on a specific day dedicated to lost loved ones. Celebrate and experience the cultural traditions of Día de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) on November 1. This event is free and engaging for all ages. Bring the family for a nice fall day out on the Detroit Riverfront to participate in this Mexican holiday. Join in on the remembrance of those you still hold dear by leaving a name or message for a loved one. Stay for the food, live entertainment, shop vendors, children’s activities, and more! ATTEND THIS YEAR’S SUSTAINABLE URBAN DESIGN SUMMIT HOSTED BY DETROITISIT

Date: Thursday, November 6 at Newlab Detroit. 8am – 6pm

Give some of your time and lots of attention to an enlightening day of panel speakers you won’t want to miss, hosted by Detroitisit. Fall is a time for endings as well as taking actions now that plant seeds in the new year. Detroitisit will convene to feature local and global leaders for the fourth Sustainable Urban Design Summit (SUDS), a gathering dedicated to reimagining cities through the lens of sustainability, design, and innovation. Hear in-depth conversations from local & global perspectives that shape the future of sustainable cities through urban planning, multimodal mobility, building & development, and neighborhood engagement.
