BELLE ISLE KAYAK CLUB
Belle Isle Aquarium is a perfect public cleanup area in Detroit. Bring your own kayak or SUP and join the adventure as everyone ‘paddles against plastic pollution’ along the canals of Belle Isle. April 23 – *4th Saturday / Earth Day will be worth showing up for, but you could always come back!
Recurring date: Third Saturday of each month, April through October
Time: 9:30am-Noon

What better way to engage in springtime festivities and the rebirth of nature than to get out into the dirty earth? Spring Cleanup at the Belle Isle Conservancy is from 9:30 am-12:30 pm. Join the gang at one of the prettiest and greenest places in Detroit.
DETROIT RIVERFRONT CONSERVANCY
Dequindre Cut Spring Cleanup is from 10 am-2 pm at the Dequindre Cut Greenway.

FRIENDS OF THE ROUGE
Spring cleaning is happening on a global scale! The Friends of the Rouge restoration organization is ready to get clean. Wear something you wouldn’t mind getting dirty. Join the Rouge Park Rouge Rescue Cleanup on Saturday, April 23rd from 9 am-Noon. Click HERE to fill out the form to participate. Trash bags, gloves, water, etc. are available. Located at Rouge Park, Stone Bridge Trailhead. The trailhead is located on Tireman Ave just east of Outer Drive.
The Fort Street Bridge Rouge Rescue Cleanup is another option brought on by Friends of The Rouge. This Earth Day event is supported by the Detroit River Coalition, Downriver Delta Community Development Corporation, and Friends of the Rouge. The cleanup is on Saturday, April 23rd from 9 am-Noon. Located at Fort Street Bridge Park on the northeast side of the intersection of Fort Street/ Oakwood Blvd and Denmark St. Parking space is available on Denmark St., Detroit. The closest address for direction information is 130 South Fort Street.
