Pure Detroit Downtown Architecture & LGBT Local History Tour — Saturday, June 7 @ 3pm
With Motor City Pride happening downtown, join Pure Detroit for a tour of Detroit’s architectural greatest hits live & in person with a special focus on LBGT local history in the city.
Conducted by historic preservationist and urban planner Michael Boettcher, our downtown tour covers the Guardian Building, the Penobscot Building, the First National Building as well as the towering contemporary behemoth known as the Renaissance Center.
In addition, patrons of the tour will be able to soak up the urban splendor of Campus Martius Park in the heart of downtown Detroit.
The tour will begin @ 3pm at the info kiosk at the entrance of Hart Plaza. The tour will end at the Guardian Building.
The tour will last roughly 60+ minutes. Metered parking is available throughout downtown.
