The highly anticipated experience of outdoor igloo dining is back – and now even higher in demand. With indoor dining closed in Michigan, restaurants have opted to offer a new, unique, outdoor dining experience. Now, you can enjoy “outdoor dining” in the comfort of an outdoor igloo!
If you’re looking to get out of the house, plan ahead and reserve an igloo at one of these Metro Detroit restaurants offering heated, outdoor igloos before they’re booked for the season.
BLAKE’S TASTING ROOM (ARMADA)
Guests will be able to enjoy the regular Tasting Room menu, monthly specials drinks, and cocktails inside the heated, decorated igloos! A $50 deposit per igloo is required to reserve a spot, with a minimum $250 food and drink spend. Note – the $50 deposit will be deducted from our total bill on the day of your visit. At Bobcat Bonnie’s outdoor igloos come fully furnished and decorated with a large round table and seating for up to 6 guests. In addition to delicious food, the restaurant offers blankets available for sale (or you can bring your own) and will provide a small heater to help maintain a comfortable temperature in the igloo. CAMP TICONDEROGA (TROY)
Camp Ticonderoga has transformed into a winter wonderland! Two heated igloos will be available to reserve now through February 28 and requires advance reservations. Diners will have the choice to select the Grey Wolf igloo or the Monkey Business igloo and will be able to enjoy Camp Ticonderoga’s regular menu, along with daily specials. There is a $200 food and beverage minimum for igloo diners as well as a $5 non-refundable booking fee taken at the time the reservation is made. Click here to reserve an igloo. Back by popular demand, Deadwood is offering two heated igloos for a unique dining experience! Deadwood is accepting reservations now through February 28 for parties in the cozy, decorated igloos. Diners will be able to enjoy Deadwood’s regular menu, along with daily specials. Lumen is well known in Detroit as a hotspot for igloos and chalets that are perfect for getting in the holiday spirit and dining outdoors, abiding by the new epidemic orders. The restaurant also offers several heaters on the patio as well as cozy and warm fire pits which serve as a perfect spot for a snack and to stay warm outside. Igloos can be booked on OpenTable. Due to winter weather, Tin Roof is working to recover igloos after closing down operations earlier this week. The restaurant has temporarily cut off all new reservations until more of the replacements igloos arrive.
