Metro Detroit 4th of July events in Detroit and Metro Detroit are back for another annual show. You’ll have plenty of opportunities to find the fire surrounding Thursday, July 4. The 4th of July, or Independence Day, declared a U.S. federal holiday in 1941. The Declaration of Independence, adopted by the Continental Congress on July 4, 1776, and thus was birthed our great nation. Time to celebrate!
Public and neighborhood fireworks are one of the most common celebrations along with family reunions & barbecues, picnics, festivals/concerts, parades, and baseball games. There’s an energy of playtime this summertime season and we’re here to find all of the best Detroit 4th of July events in Detroit and beyond. The anticipated 2024 Ford Fireworks show sneaks up at the end of June to kick off the rest of the fun festivities.

2024 FORD FIREWORKS
Date & Time: Monday, June 24 with pre-show coverage at 8 PM and the fireworks show at 10 PM
Feel alive with the 2024 Ford Fireworks. If you don’t participate in any other Metro Detroit 4th of July events, then make sure you don’t miss this traditional celebration put together by The Parade Company. Celebrate summer in Detroit with the 66th annual Ford Fireworks. Did you know it’s the largest fireworks display in the city with accolades across the country? This free beauty will be lit up to witness from Hart Plaza, Detroit Riverwalk, Belle Isle, and other locations in Downtown Detroit. You can also tune in to channel Local 4 and Local 4+ to see the live broadcast of the show even if you’re not in the Detroit area.
Join the Rooftop Party out on the Center Garage roof for live entertainment, food, drinks, and interactive games for kids. Tickets are $350 per guest and $125 for children six and under. Email cbarbb@theparade.org to set up an in-person appointment to purchase tickets.

This 21+ event is an outdoor experience to remember with a fiery music line-up. Enjoy “Detroit’s number one R&B Festival” with the hottest acts at this year’s Riverfront Music Festival 2024. Guests are permitted to bring their own folding lawn chairs (limited to 1 chair per person). No outside food or drink is permitted. Bring your best attitude no matter what the weather will be. Visiting Comerica Park to watch the Tigers play is an essential part of Detroit summers and the American tradition. Go more than once and celebrate the Fourth of July with The Detroit Tigers. Root for your home team and stay for the real show after with an array of fireworks shooting up above Tigers Stadium. Friday night fireworks schedule following select games.
