This movement is intended to create an international day of giving at the beginning of Christmas.
This is a great time to deep dive into the Detroit community and its physical necessities for both humans and animals. MARL’s Thanksgiving Meal program (just passed) consists of a $25 donation that provides a shelter animal with a special holiday feast. There are still opportunities to continue the theme of giving! The Thanksgiving meal sponsorship donation is used in combination with other gifts to help save the lives of the many animals spending this season at the Michigan Animal Rescue League. BASBLUE AND EMPOWERMENT PLAN
BasBlue recently announced a new partnership with Detroit-based nonprofit Empowerment Plan as part of its Giving Tuesday initiative. This collaboration marks the beginning of a long-term commitment to empowering underrepresented and under-resourced women and non-binary individuals, working together to break the cycle of economic barriers and drive positive change in our community. Bring much-needed items, such as diapers, towels and washcloths, twin sheet sets, socks, pajamas, toiletries, and toys for Christmas to The Detroit PAL Recreation Center in Detroit.
