With 52 years of parading under its belt, Motor City Pride Detroit has returned and is less than a week away! This event is proudly sponsored by MGM Grand Detroit and is a legendary representation of visibility for the LGBTQ+ community. Not to mention, Motor City Pride is Michigan’s largest pride celebration with over 65,000 participants.
Pride Month/LGBTQ Pride Month is a month-long observance dedicated to the celebration of LGBTQ pride, commemorating the contributions of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer culture and community. The month of June signifies the commemoration of the Stonewall riots, which occurred at the end of June 1969. As a result, there will be plenty of opportunities to engage in pride events throughout the month that recognize Michigan’s LGBTQ citizens as well as the global impact of LGBT people.
Bring out your best rainbow outfits and other show-stopping styles that display the most unhinged expression of you as you are surrounded by an enthusiastic crowd of unified individuals. Be visible, be outspoken, be and be fierce! Don’t let anyone rain on your parade and set forth a new path for others to follow along.

ENTERTAINMENT TO EXPECT AT MOTOR CITY PRIDE
Get your tickets for Motor City Pride if you haven’t already! This popular event is a hot commodity and you’ll want to know all of the details now, so you can plan ahead. Motor City Pride Detroit is a weekend festival event, happening from Saturday, June 7 to Sunday, June 8 annually at Hart Plaza, Detroit.
Foster respect for the LGBTQ community and join the all-volunteer run event staff. There is a $5 cover charge to enter the festival unless there is youth 12 and under.
Gates open at 1PM on Saturday and festival events run from 1-9PM. With over 140 sponsors, vendors, nonprofits & food booths, come together to support equality with thousands of LGBTQ+ community. Presented by JEEP, the parade on Sunday, June 8 starts at noon at the corner of Fort and Griswold.
PERFORMANCE STAGES AND EVENT INFO RECAP
Motor City Pride Detroit returns for another year of pride festival fun and the incredible parade in downtown Detroit. Get pumped for the various stages of entertainment below featuring over 50 acts! One-day non-refundable tickets for either day are $5.99. The festival features a jam-packed lineup of performances on unique stages, 100’s of vendors, food trucks, community groups, and artisans. Three Performance Stages:
Pride Stage Motor City Pride has a drag show you won’t want to miss. The Pride Stage serves as the festival’s main performance venue, hosting some of the weekend’s biggest names and rising stars. Hosted by Jai Rodriguez, who emerged as the culture expert on Bravo’s groundbreaking reality series “Queer Eye for the Straight Guy.” Be mesmerized by a dynamic duo from “RuPaul’s Drag Race” Season 12. Jackie Cox and Jan Sport both take the stage at 3 P.M. Soak in all of the theatrics and dazzling vocal talent!
Pyramid Stage The Pyramid Stage is putting on performances to remember. A range of emerging and local artists will have a chance to shine and showcase their style, songwriting, vocal performance abilities over the two days.
