MOVEMENT ELECTRONIC MUSIC FESTIVAL 2022

Movement 2022 happens May 28-30, over the festival’s traditional Memorial Day weekend dates, in its longstanding home of Detroit’s Hart Plaza. This will be the first time Movement has happened since 2019, with 2020 and 2021 canceled due to the pandemic. The diversity is alive through the music. Not to mention, there will be an abundance of local food vendors!  The complete lineup for the 2022 Movement Festival exemplifies the diversity and culture of Detroit. DETROIT RIVER DAYS FESTIVAL 2022

Admission is free from 2pm-5pm, $5 after 5pm.

Venture out for a truly original festival on the Detroit Riverfront. Detroit River Days has been a local hit for the last 10 years. Hosted by GM each June, the event is three days of non-stop fun for all ages, featuring ski jet demonstrations, sand sculptures, riverboat tours, and live music. Get a bird’s eye view of the state park as you fly thirty-four feet above the ground with a zipline. Yes, a zipline. Detroit River Days are also pet-friendly, so your furry companions won’t miss out. There is a kid’s stage to keep the little ones entertained, and live music for the grown-ups, so you shouldn’t hear “I’m bored” from anyone! Celebrate the Riverfront and the city’s sounds. VegMichigan is excited to be hosting VegFest once again after a two-year hiatus and they couldn’t be more thrilled to finally be able to host it in Detroit. VegFest is a mostly outdoor event this year, thanks to Eastern Market. Eastern Market’s sheds 5 & 6 will graciously provide space as long as you bring passion and open-mindedness. There’s always something new to try! The event is free admission for all attendees. Some highlights include about 100 vendors, delicious plant-based food, sustainable shopping, free samples, a kid zone, and live music. All of the best food in one place? Count me in.
