The seasons are changing, school is back in session, and there’s still room to check off things you planned on doing over the summer as well as plans throughout the year. Be open to shifts, both mentally and physically. Read through this list of Detroit youth arts programs and more that showcase the excellence of young Detroiters in the greater community areas where young stars can put themselves at the center of their excellence/talents. Not to mention, they are able to receive guidance that structures their future outlooks beyond secondary education with the right mentorship.

Detroit is rich in its cultural legacy that has transformed American music for the better along with other magnificent modern performing arts. Physical art/murals and the influx of local fashion are other signature self-expression through design approaches that Detroit excels in. Music, dance, and performing become more than a movement.

Older generations have the power to pass down stories as well as their own talents. Furthermore, they have the funds, resources, and combined experience to come up with greater investments that highlight the best potential for young Detroiters interested in pursuing creative/art-related fields. The recent local news of “celebrities rallying for Detroit youth arts” right here in the city has inspired us to continue relaying the messages of how crucial it is to be involved in the non-profit support of Detroit youth arts and creativity as a year-round focus. Students have the power to take the inspiration and motivation into their own hands as individual, multi-faceted artists and change-makers.

Detroitisit rounded up an important list of Detroit youth arts programs/other similar organizations to learn more about the initiatives spanning across Metro Detroit. Be invested in uplifting the Detroit youth community in practical, tangible ways.
