CELEBRATE DIA DE MUERTOS IN DETROIT
The Day of the Dead (Spanish: Día de los Muertos) is a holiday traditionally celebrated on November 1 and 2. It is widely observed in Mexico. The Day of the Dead is the time of the year to celebrate the lives of close relatives, friends or community members who have passed away. Celebrate Dia de los Muertos at the DIA

Detroit’s Mexican Consulate, the Southwest Detroit Business Association and Mexicantown CDC have partnered together with The Detroit Institute of Arts to share a new exhibit in celebration of Día de los Muertos. Objects important to lost loved ones, such as favorite foods, drinks, mementos and pictures, are collected and incorporated into intricate displays.
