CELEBRATE LOCAL SMALL BUSINESSES WITH ALL THINGS DETROIT DAY

Date & Time: Sunday, April 12 from 10 AM–5 PM 

Are you ready to celebrate small businesses with All Things Detroit Day throws it back to the 80s with handmade goods and 200 small businesses. Be a part of the 12th annual All Things Detroit Day in Eastern Market. In a few weeks, the Eastern Market sheds 3, 4 and 5 

will be filled with local goods sold by more than 200 makers. All Things Detroit Day is a celebration made for supporting small business – complete with DJ’s, interactive events and food trucks galore. This day is a favorite for many and brings in crowds of more than 14,000 shoppers. Shoppers/visitors of all ages are invited to attend and purchase modern home goods, engage in the interactive  10’ x 8 ‘Coloring Wall installation from Sherrie Savage, owner of The Coloring Museum in Detroit, and more coloring-related activities. CINDERELLA ON THE DANCE FLOOR 

Women’s History Month ends in March, but that doesn’t mean we can’t highlight the influence of events specifically for women! Cinderellas on the Dance Floor is a women-only dance night debuting towards the end of April 17 in downtown Ferndale. Cinderellas on the Dance Floor is about creating a judgement-free community and meant to offer an uplifting, empowering way to connect with one another. Founders Elena Kapintcheva (of Troy, Mich.) and Melanie Derro (of Royal Oak, Mich.) are creating a new experience, based on a rising trend around the country, to reinvent the city’s nightlife and still get revelers home by midnight. The event features an impressive roster of DJs, featuring Detroit House legend Stacey Hotwaxx Hale and internationally-known DJ Rimarkable headline the night while Melanie Derro will open the show.
