2019 Makes the Eighth Annual Eastern Market After Dark

Celebrate the Detroit Month of Design in Eastern Market with a Night of Retail, Art & Entertainment in the City

Eastern Market After Dark. Love Eastern Market on a Saturday afternoon? Just wait until you see it on a Thursday night! Celebrating the end of the growing season this Thursday with our favorite market night of the year—and our top three activities: shopping, gallery hopping, and dining out.

Now, a Word from the Organizers:

Celebrate Detroit design as one of the nation’s oldest public markets transforms into a creative district for one night. More than 40 studios and galleries will open late throughout the district. Sheds 2, 3, 4, and 5 will be open with interactive experiences, brand activations with Detroit’s up-and-coming designers, installations, and parties.

Eastern Market After Dark is produced in conjunction with the 9th-annual Detroit Month of Design. The event is free and open to the public.

Eastern Market After Dark was created in 2012 with an emphasis on sharing the talent of many artists, designers, businesses, and makers that make this district thrive.

This event is an official part of the Detroit Month of Design program.
