‘Tis the season/month for holiday shopping, family gathering, sweet treats & comforting food, and giving. As we head into the season of gift giving, let’s remind ourselves of all the wonderful ways to give back to the community in Detroit this holiday season. After all, helping others can truly get us in the holiday spirit and cheer everyone up!

There’s a constant list of traditional and new ways to give back to the community all year. Volunteering is special if you’re willing to give up some of your time to support Detroiters/Metro Detroiters in the area. However, there are “smaller”/indirect ways that can also be a huge help, such as donating money to non-profit organizations. Clothes, food, and other necessary living supplies are also of need around this time of year. Detroiters have a way of giving the shirt off of their back in more ways than one as times of struggle have often been the case for several.

Detroitisit rounded up a warm list of ways to give back to the community in Detroit this holiday season 2023 as we all wish the best for everyone heading into a new year.
