Daniel Caudill is the Creative Director of Shinola, the Detroit based retail brand known for it’s bicycles, watches, leather goods— an extensive and rotating list that now even includes home stereo equipment and the occasional skateboard. Read: lifestyle brand. It’s a company that’s been credited with bringing manufacturing back to Detroit, and, we’re going to postulate, one that has brought the design industry beyond the confines of automotive.
