What better way to say “happy birthday” to BORO Detroit than to shop in-store or online? Celebrate their seven years as a small business with the concept of knowing nothing is new nor constant. Initially, was going to call the shop The Borrow, a play on borrowing/recirculating clothing as well as a slight nod to the NYC boroughs neighborhoods. Their first shop on Gratiot brought about change to move to their current location on East Grand Boulevard in Detroit. PUBLIC THRIFT
Public Thrift first launched in Corktown in January of 2020 in a tiny pop-up space. The team then went on a hiatus for a few years and reopened a store in Hamtramck in October 2022. Have a good time shopping in a communal setting with Public Thrift and their $10 Fill a Bag days and other great deals. This independent thrift store is a way for locals to shop sustainably and affordably while circulating business within the community. Public Thrift partners with mutual aid groups and nonprofits to donate excess items. 707CLOTHINGHEAVEN
