It’s hot outside and ice cream—whether it be soft serve, vegan, stuffed with goodies, or simple—is an excellent way to cool off. There’s something so lovely about eating a cone of freshly scooped ice cream while the summer sun flits behind the clouds and the breeze plays in the trees. Detroit offers many absolutely amazing ice cream spots throughout the city, from downtown to Southwest, that make for excellent stops to grab a cone and enjoy the summer city life.

MILK AND FROTH

Artisan, high quality ice cream is the real deal at Milk and Froth in downtown Detroit. Co-owners and founders Alexis Matteson and Deion Cao see artisan ice cream as a way of life and have been offering only the best ingredients in their simple, yet perfectly delicious, ice cream since Milk and Froth began in a food truck in 2018. Earlier this month, Milk and Froth opened their first brick and mortar location where they are excited to be serving scoops to Detroiters all year round.
