The United States celebrates another year of America’s independence on Independence Day (colloquially the Fourth of July or July 4th). Join in this nation’s federal holiday across America, commemorating the Declaration of Independence of the United States, on July 4, 1776.

Calm your senses and find other things to do that aren’t as loud as well as enjoy the big bangs that occur this month. Treat your dogs to something special too as the Fourth of July can often be unbearable. Get the most out of the classical elements of nature this month (Earth, Water, Air, Fire).

Detroit fireworks have long-been lighting up the sky over the international border between the U.S. and Canada. The 68th Detroit Ford Fireworks, presented by Ford Motor Co. and produced by Parade Company, passed on the night of June 22. However, fireworks in Metro Detroit are still going strong with plenty of opportunities happening now through the 4th.

Detroitisit rounded up a list of events in Detroit and other fun activities nearby to continue the high energy of summer as the heat kicks in.
