Afro Nation Detroit 2023 will feature additional activations and events to honor Detroit’s musical contributions to the world and highlight its connection to present-day American, African, and global Black culture and music. Don’t miss this next event! How large is this “massive photography exhibit”? How big does roughly 200 photos sound? It’s the largest retrospective of this Ghanaian photographer’s work in the United States to date. It’s a walking timeline that narrates his revolutionary global career that began in the 1950s with black-and-white photography. This must-visit show is only viewable at the Detroit Institute of Arts.
