Recently featured on CBS, wellness facilitator Chelsea Walker, founder of The Hug Haven, informed the public about the active events being held to help individuals navigate grief and mental health struggles. HUG Haven is a non-profit organization conceived in Detroit. Communities of all backgrounds and ages who are grappling with grief and stages of trauma are brought together through workshops, counseling services, and accessible funding. #HEALWITHHUGS and join the cause! TONE MATTERS: SOUND BOWLS 101

Date: Wednesday, May 22, 7:00 pm-8:00 pm

Your body and mind may need an extra tune-up this month. This list of events for Mental Health Awareness Month  2024 in Detroit includes some of the more metaphysical practices. To expand on “Mental Health on The Detroit Riverfront” events, take part in this free interactive sound bowl workshop exploring basic techniques. Bring whoever you want, no matter their age or experience level. All you’ll need is a yoga mat. You’ll then be able to activate sound meditation instruments and learn the science of sound with crystal & Tibetan sound bowls.
