The area will include 1.5 million square feet of office, retail, food and beverage, hotel, residential, event and meeting, parking, and activated open spaces. The 685.4 feet tall tower will provide amazing city views at every level. The ground-floor retail and indoor-outdoor space for activations is a sight to see. Visitors and residents can also enjoy the uniqueness of the new plaza between the two buildings that will cut through the center of the development. This location will be a hotspot! Expect an enhancement of the community’s access to affordable housing. 29 new apartments is just the start of the project, which began in the summer of 2023. Check back in with The Beauton this summer 2024 as it will be open to new residents. Also, look out for ten micro-studios, 15 standard studios, and four larger units, comprising two one-bedroom and two two-bedroom apartments.
600 ASSOCIATES
Reimagining is key as we look to what’s new in Detroit, especially when it comes to major developments that focus on modern living spaces in an urban city. Detroit’s sports and entertainment landscape had a strong foundation thanks to “The Joe”. Detroit-based developer Sterling Group is at the helm of this project. The former downtown Detroit arena site is being reimagined into a 25-story residential tower with 500 housing units. Project completion is expected in 2024.

Piggybacking off of the last location, the Detroit skyline is getting an upgrade as well as Detroit’s hotel scene. What’s new in Detroit includes the Detroit riverfront skyline that will welcome a new glass tower. New renderings were also unveiled recently for Hotel Water Square, a 25-story high-rise hotel planned for the Joe Louis Arena site that will connect to Huntington Place.
This project is spearheaded by Atwater and Second Associates, LLC, and is slated to start construction in the second quarter of 2024. The 600-room hotel should fit in swimmingly with downtown Detroit’s lively event atmosphere and hotel offerings. Construction is to commence in the second quarter of 2024.
