This edition of Detroit Sounds comes from the Museum of Contemporary Art Director Elysia Borowy-Reeder, whose compilation of Detroit ladies makes us absolutely swoon. An original boss(lady), she is our personal hero and, quite frankly, if you give a damn about contemporary art, should be yours too. She has dedicated her entire life to art and culture—and has curated over 50 exhibitions—including Dark Fair NYC and Dark Fair Cologne—has received a NEA and Joyce Foundation award for her curatorial efforts. Her latest curatorial endeavor features Cass Corridor artist Michael Luchs and internationally known artist Tal R.
Tal R’s solo exhibition at MOCAD, This Is Not Detroit, is up and runs through Sunday, 29th July, 2018. For the inside scoop, click here to read our interview with Elysia.
